This large mottled brown teapot made by Milton Pottery Works was exhibited at the 1889-1890 New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition in Dunedin. Potteries existed in the South Otago town of Milton between the early 1870s and the First World War and were at their height in the 1880s when this teapot was made.
