Sun Hat: Sir Edmund Hillary

One blue and white striped cotton sun hat made for Edmund Hillary. The hat has a round crown, a peak at the front and a flap at the back to protect the wearer's neck from the sun. It was worn by him when he and Tenzing made the first successful ascent of Mt Everest on 29 May 1953.
