toilet stall door, painted white and covered in graffiti. Ex-Kings Arms Tavern. [large graffiti heart "RIP KA" on the inside face] These doors come from the women's toilets of the Kings Arms Tavern, an iconic Auckland pub and live music venue. The wooden building on Frances St in Newton closed on the 28th of February 2018 after 120 years in business. Since 1988, the Kings Arms has been an infamous live music venue, beloved by local bands, and even international acts like The White Stripes and The Black Keys played gigs at the tavern in their early days.
