Sarah Chisnall first entered the Benson Hedges Fashion Design Awards in 1989, and in 1991 she won the Young Designer Award with this tartan ensemble. Sarah designed under the label Sugoi, which she sold in the Christchurch boutique, Sugoi Hot Couture, that she owned with her mother Janet.
