A large collection of scanned documents that relate to the Thames-East Coast Road Committee and their efforts from the late 1950s through the 1960s to get a road connection from east to west coast. Includes background material, handwritten notes, list of subscribers and fundraising efforts. Includes official letters from the Thames Borough Council and Thames County Council. Also mention of the proposed Kauaeranga Highway in the mid 1950s. Over 80 pages of various sizes from receipts to foolscap pages. Available to view on request.
