Photograph, Horse drawn float in a parade 1986.
Shared by Te Hikoi Museum
A colour photograph of a float taking part in the sesquicentennial (150 years) celebrations in Riverton at the end of 1986 or early 1987. The float depicts three draught horses pulling a four-wheel cart. Several personnel are in the cart dressed up as early settlers. The float is representing Colac Bay. More parade participants can be seen following behind and part of the Riverton bridge can be seen in the distance. From the estate of Kaye Saunders.
