A 1893 E. Leitz Wetzlar brass professional microscope and extras, that belonged to Dr Woodhouse. The components are made of brass, the black stand is moulded black enameled cast iron. It has one magnifying glass at the base which is on a swivel and has 2 expansion adjustments. The platform for holding specimen glass is black metal with spring clips, one old, one new. The top eye piece telescopes down the central barrel. At its base is a rotation disc for 3 lenses of varying sizes. There are 4 adjustment knobs on the sides and one on the base. It is in a rimu carrying case, made by Jim Mc Kelvie.
