A New Zealand Ten Shilling note . It was legal tender until 1967. It is brown and white, On obverse side is an oval shape with Captain Cook portrait in it. Maori designs around edges, New Zealand Government coat of Arms. The words "TEN SHILLINGS' , number 7L 990319 both top and bottom. The water mark is in a blank oval and reveals a Warrior's face when held to the light. Reverse side has treaty signing [artist impression] A kiwi in native background within an oval, and same blank oval that reveals watermark. 'THE RESERVE BANK Of New ZEALAND' . 10/- on each top corner. It has Maori design edging and printers name [Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited London.
