A New Zealand One Pound note. It was legal tender until 1967. It is purple and white, On obverse side is an oval shape with Captain Cook portrait in it. Maori designs around edges, New Zealand Government coat of Arms. The words 'One pound', number 249611353 on both top and bottom. The water mark is in a blank oval and reveals a Warrior's face when held to the light. Reverse side has an artistic impression of a sailing ship , mountains and sea in the background, and same blank oval that reveals watermark. 'THE RESERVE BANK Of New ZEALAND', one pound sign on each corner. It has Maori design edging and printers name [Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited London]
