A New Zealand Two dollar note. It became legal tender in 1967, when decimal currency was introduced into New Zealand. It is purple and white, On obverse side is a photograph of Queen Elizabeth 11 . The words 'THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR TWO DOLLARS '.The number OA2 261832 on top right and bottom left corners. The water mark is in a blank oval and reveals Captain Cook's face when held to the light. Along the bottom 'RESERVE BANK OF NEW ZEALAND' .Top left and bottom right corners have the number 2 encased in a purple scroll design. Reverse side has 'TWO DOLLARS 'in top left corner, a green and red sketch of Mistletoe, a flying Rifleman in the centre, number 2 encased in purple scroll design top right and bottom left corners, ' RESERVE BANK OF NEW ZEALAND ', 'DE LA RUE' on bottom left corner.
