Specification for the Hartly (sic) & Riley Dredge by George McLay, Dredgemaster, Cromwell. The Specification includes "machinery to be built under contract for the Hartly & Riley Beach Dredging Co Ltd and fitted up in good working order on the owners’ pontoons at Cromwell". The contract states it "shall include the supply of all labor, tools, cartage and materials of every description requisite for the completion of the work." The document comprises eleven pages of faded carbon typing in a brown folder bound with three small engraved gold split pins. Note: The Dredge is referred to as the Hartly & Riley Dredge in the Specification. Riley is also spelt Reilly (Christopher Reilly) in some publications
