Photograph digital, Boys at School. A scan of boys at Thames High School 1925, standing outside A Block. In the photo is Harold Edwin Hoyle who was Head boy. All dressed in the school uniform, and arranged in rows. In the 1925 Thames High School Haurakian booklet there is a photo of H Hoyle in the Prefects and he is head boy. Also Captain of the football team. He is also in the 1926 edition. Details of academic success. Hoyle went on to get a BE Mining, BE Metallurgy, BSC, Surface Mining Diploma, Underground Mining Diploma, Gold Assayers ticket. He left University in Dunedin and went to work at Mt Isa, and married his NZ girlfriend. Came back and settled in Christchurch and worked at Quarry run by local council amongst a busy career.
