Numbered 301 to 306. Each model has a brief biographical note. The models are Fiat Modello (1910), Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost (1906), Peugeot (1907), Ford Model T (1910). Simplex (1912), and Vauxhall Prince Henry (1914). The card carries a warning that these cars are not toys and are intended for decorative use. The Words Reader’s Digest and the Winged Horse logo appear at the bottom Husband and wife team DeWit and Lila Wallace founded the Readers Digest magazine in 1922. Such was the success of this small magazine that by 1935 it had a circulation of 1 million. This huge success enabled the Wallace’s to patronise the arts, education and music, and programmes for youth. “The Wallace Foundation stays true to Lila and DeWitt Wallace’s passions for education, youth development, and the arts. Wallace today aims to help all communities build a more vibrant and just future by fostering advances in the arts, education leadership, and youth development”. Researched by Jeanette Shepherd.
