As the world's youngest female head of government at the age of 37, Labour leader Jacinda Ardern made headlines after a whirlwind campaign in late 2017.
Only eight months later after being sworn in, she gave birth to her daughter Neve, making her the world's second elected head of government to give birth while in office. As Prime Minister she oversaw a number of national emergencies including a mass shooting at a Christchurch mosque in 2019 and a worldwide pandemic from 2020 onwards. During her five year tenure, she appeared on tote bags, t-shirts and magazine covers as Jacindamania took hold. This collection brings together all of the items on Kōtuia that serve to mark her time in office.
