Ferrymead Heritage Park was established in the late 1960's and was designed to be a museum that housed displays from the related societies. The Park consists of an Edwardian township and a separate museum area with exhibits including post office, school, jail, printers, general store, model railway and much more.
Trams run on weekends, school and public holidays and special Event Days (please refer to website) Steam trains run on the second Sunday of the month and event days.
We are open from 10am to 4.30pm every day except Christmas Day.
Ferrymead is seen as a leader in providing Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom (LEOTC) programmes for visiting schools.
There are venues available to hire in the park including the Heritage Church, Rose Garden and Friendly Societies Lodge.
